On October 21, 2019, the second risk communication session was carried out to the local government officials and community leaders of the Hulu Langat district, specifically the Batu 14 area, which is susceptible to landslides, and Kampung Sg. Serai, which is known for its frequent flooding.  This session focused on factors that contribute to the landslide and flood incidents that occur in the area and provided explanations by experts on the phenomena of these two types of disasters.  This science-based approach enabled community leaders to better understand the nature of the risks they are facing to address and initiate community-led action in the future.
