As a township situated along the slopes of the Titiwangsa mountain range, Ulu Klang is familiar with disaster risk.  Thus, the residents in the area have taken proactive steps in monitoring their surroundings for any signs of landslides and taking mitigation action.  However, they felt that a DRR Resource Centre for (1) sharing knowledge, (2) strengthening their local capacity through and (3) creating a communal space for discussion among the community members and the government authorities was needed to create a culture of disaster resilience.

Since May 2023, the communities of Ulu Klang have worked together to set up and establish such a centre.  The centre features a gallery of poster, 3D terrain model, mini-library of disaster-related resources, audio-visual displays, as well as a physical space for holding talks and workshops among the community members.
