Kampung Sg. Serai is a locality also situated within the district of Hulu Langat. Residents here face frequent incidents of floods, with flash floods occurring as often as three or four times a year and a large-scale flood caused by river overtopping every four years. While not life-threatening, the frequency of the floods causes hardships to the residents in the area.
