The sub-district of Ulu Klang, located east of Kuala Lumpur, is known for frequent slope failures.  It covers the foothills and hillsides of the Titiwangsa Range, affording residents a scenic view of the KL skyline.  There are many hillside communities within this area, which experience erosion, landslips and landslides from time to time.  The landslide-prone terrain in this location, together with the receptive mindset of the residents to disaster risk reduction, makes it an ideal project site for the JPP SeDAR project.
